Participants scored higher in interdependence (M = 5.78, SD = 1.03) than they did in independence (M = 4.20, SD = 1.49).

The interdependence median (Mdn = 6.13) was higher than the independence median (Mdn = 4.38). Similarly, the mode of 6.50 for interdependence was also and higher than the mode of 4.75 for independence.

Finally, the range was higher for the interdependence scores (5.75) than for the independence scores (4.25).

• Note 1: Numbers are reported to two decimal places. So the median score for independent is 4.38 not 4.3750.
• Note 2: In a report you would not typically include the SPSS output table. You would include only the text write-up as this contains all the important information from the table.
• Note 3: There is no common statistical abbreviation for the mode and range unlike the median (Mdn), mean (M), and standard deviation (SD).
