This presentation, we'll review the shape and pattern of skin lesions. It is important for healthcare providers to document how skin lesions present themselves on the body, both in shape and in apparent. Skin lesions can be round or annular, with an active border around it. They can be umbilicated, with a central punctuation. They can be confluent that run together, or discrete, and just be by themselves. They could be grouped in clusters. They could have a zosteriform presentation, which usually follows a dermatome of the body, as seen in shingles, and they could be in a straight line, or also known as linear, as one would see with poison ivy.
