Professionalism:

The NP student demonstrates expected level of professionalism throughout the examination
  • Is dressed professionally(1)
  • Ensures patient is appropriately dressed for exam (1)
  • Demonstrates or verbalizes handwashing (1)
  • Speaks clearly in appropriate volume and tone for video recording (1)
  • Provides appropriate instruction to patient during exam (3)
  • Prepares for use of appropriate equipment (3)
Demonstrates professionalism at expected level (Example: wearing lab coat and business attire; environment without distractions; appropriate lighting and camera angle; voice can be heard clearly in video; interacts with patient during exam to provide clear and concise instruction as needed)

(10–9 points)
Demonstrates professionalism at expected level in all but one component such as unprofessional dress; environment distracting to exam; voice muffled or too low to reasonably hear; inadequate or incorrect patient instruction. (Points deducted as noted in CRITERIA breakdown)

(8–7 points)
Demonstrates professionalism at less than expected level in 1–2 components such as unprofessional dress; environment distracting to exam; voice muffled or too low to reasonably hear; inadequate or incorrect patient instruction. (Points deducted as noted in CRITERIA breakdown)

(6–5 points)
Does not demonstrate professionalism at expected level in ≥3 components.

The NP student demonstrates organization by efficient use of time
Completes assessment in less than 15 minutes

Please note that the faculty will stop watching the video at 18 minutes and anything beyond that point will not be counted as part of the submission
