Research Help

Hello, this is Roxanne Palmatier, one of the research and instruction librarians at the Snell Library. Your instructor has invited me to talk with you in a few videos about some of the resources and services Snell Library provides for you.

To begin, I want to talk to you a little bit about asking for help with your research. At the top of page, there is the “Get to Help” link. Click here, and you will find a number of options including our “Ask a librarian” services.

As you scroll through this page, you will see different opportunities; ways to get in touch with us immediately, our walk-in desk in the Snell Library lobby, and our online chat or texting service. You are welcome to email us at any time.

One thing very few students know about and take advantage is meetings with your subject librarians or other library specialists, all of the set-aside time in our schedules to work with individuals or small groups of students who need help with projects, so click here on this “subject librarian” link to be connected with alphabetical list subject specialists who are available to meet with you. As students who are studying management and business, you are likeliest to work with Julie Jersyk, our business librarian, but as you pursue topics in sustainability and environment you will find other library subject specialists helping you as well.
